Avoid the crowds and enjoy a private scuba dive! If you love to snorkel and swim, then this activity is for you. There is nothing more exciting than your first few breaths underwater! During this half day adventure, you’ll learn the basics of scuba diving, perform a few skills in shallow water to ensure your comfort, and then your Instructor will guide you through a dive around the old Frederiksted Pier. This dive site is famous for its beautiful aquatic life, including close encounters with corals, sponges, sea turtles, stingrays and many colorful Caribbean fish!

Your underwater adventure begins as soon as you confirm your Basic Diver reservation. Your confirmation email will contain a link to the MySSI app (Scuba Schools International diving agency) where you need to create a free user profile. Once your profile is set up, you just need to let us know and we will assign your Basic Diver Digital Learning. You will also need to complete the waivers and Diver Medical statement prior to your scheduled dive. This whole process only takes about 20 minutes to complete. Upon check in for the dive, your Scuba Instructor will review everything you learned in your Digital Learning course and answer any questions. Then it’s off to shallow water to practice a few basic scuba skills before enjoying a guided scuba dive with your instructor.
Please Note: For everyone’s safety, the successful completion of all scuba skills is required to participate in the scuba dive portion.
SCUBA SKILLS UPDATE
If you haven’t been diving recently, or on a regular basis, we highly recommend that you complete a SSI Scuba Skills Update prior to any boat dives. This will allow you to refresh important dive safety concepts alongside one of our awesome instructors, such as dive planning essentials, buoyancy skills, and stress management. Afterwards, you’ll be a confident and knowledgeable diver ready to jump right back into the underwater world!
The first step is to make a reservation with us for your half day in-water training session. Next we’ll send you instructions to register for the online course which must be completed prior to arrival. Click here to get started by creating your MySSI student profile! Complimentary rental gear is provided if needed and a guided dive is included as part of your 1-tank refresher at the world famous pier.

GUIDED BOAT DIVES
2-Tank Boat Dives are available to all Certified Open Water divers 12 years and older. 1-Tank Boat Dives are also available, and take into account the depth restrictions for certified divers aged 10 – 11 years old, as well as uncertified student divers. All certified divers age 10 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult on the boat. If you prefer to dive in the morning to accompany a junior diver or student, you can book the morning boat as a Private Charter instead. All Boat Dives require at least one logged dive in the past 2 years. A Guided Shore Dive at the Frederiksted Pier is the perfect way to meet this requirement before your boat dive. Do you prefer to have the boat all to yourself? You may prefer a Private Charters instead. Please call or email us to discuss Boat Diving options.
Dive sites are chosen on the day of your trip, depending on the prevailing conditions and taking into account any requests. We have over 30 sites to choose from along the western shore of St Croix, including popular shipwrecks, deep and shallow reefs, as well as spectacular underwater structures. All of our dive sites are less than 15 minutes from the boat dock at the Frederiksted Pier. Our crew is great at choosing dive sites that will work for everyone! All boat dives include drinking water, as well as fruit and cookies as a light refreshment during the surface interval between dives. Keep in mind that we need 48 hour notice to blend Nitrox. You will be able to reserve Nitrox as an optional upgrade before checkout when you book online.
MULTIPLE BOAT DIVES
Our 2-Tank Boat Dives let you experience two different dive sites on a single boat trip, but if you are interested in more than a single boat trip you can book some of our most popular boat combos, such as two morning boats (for a total of 4 dives), or a morning and afternoon boat together (for a total of either 3 or 4 dives). BOAT & SHORE COMBOS
You can also book shore dives before or after your boat dives. Do you want to add a guided pier dive, night dive, or wall dive a day or two after your morning boat? Or maybe you would prefer a “check out” dive at the pier the day before your boat dive? You can use the links below to book one, two, or all three of our shore dive options along with a boat dive. If you can’t find the options you want, just call or email us to discuss your preferred schedule.
PRIVATE SCUBA CHARTER
Do you prefer a more personal experience with just your friends and family? Our Private Charters have become an increasingly popular option. We offer both 1-tank and 2-tank private charters for up to a maximum of 6 guests in the morning or afternoon. You can also charter a 1-tank night dive to witness the nocturnal critters found at the very end of the pier, the Butler Bay wrecks, or one of our many West End reefs. If you don’t feel like hauling your gear, all charter guests are welcome to use complimentary rental gear at no additional cost.
Scuba Charters are also a great option for groups of divers and snorkelers who want to enjoy a day on the water all together. If you are interested in multiple charters, additional boat and shore dives, or adding any scuba instruction to your charter (such as Try Scuba or Open Water Referral), you can book a Custom Charter to add these options. PRIVATE SNORKEL CHARTER
Interested in snorkeling from our boat? We offer Private Charters for you and up to five additional guests to snorkel two locations on St. Croix’s fabulous West End! In addition to complete snorkel gear sets, complimentary drinks and light snacks are also provided, including local Leatherback beer after all in-water activities are concluded. PRIVATE FISHING CHARTER
Enjoy Deep Seas Fishing on the calm, blue waters of St. Croix’s beautiful West End. You can choose from morning, afternoon, or full day charters to spend fishing for Tuna, Mahi, and Wahoo with our knowledgeable crew. You get to kick back and focus on reeling in the fish, while we take care of cleaning your catch and bagging it for you to take home for dinner! Snacks and beverages are provided, including local Leatherback beer. All charters have a maximum of six guests.
PRIVATE SIGHTSEEING CHARTER
Admire the sunset from the best seat in town! Whether you are looking for a romantic evening or a private activity for your group, we have you covered. Pick our midday charter for sun drenched views of crystal blue water and sandy beaches backed by the verdant slopes of the West End, or wait for the spectacular colors of our breathtaking sunset charters. Either way you will enjoy cocktails and nibbles on your own private boat while taking in the sights of St. Croix’s beautiful West End.
Both charters depart from the Frederiksted Pier, but starting times will vary for the sunset charters depending on the time of year. All charters include snacks and either 2 bottles of wine or rum punch (other cocktail options also available upon request). Maximum group size is 6 passengers.
PRIVATE SHORE SNORKEL
Are you ready to explore St. Croix’s beautiful blue water? We offer Guided Snorkel Tours from shore to explore one of the best snorkel locations on St. Croix’s beautiful West End. A guide will be in the water with you to ensure your safety and to help you find delicate corals, schooling fish, and elusive sea turtles. We provide all snorkeling gear, but you are always welcome to bring your own gear instead. We limit our snorkel tours to a maximum of 4 participants, and offer group discounts. The larger your group, the greater your savings.

SNORKELING ON YOUR OWN
Do you just want to relax at the beach and jump in the water to snorkel on your own? You can rent a Snorkel Set including a mask, snorkel, and fins, between 8:00AM – 5:00PM for $20 per person. This is a great option for experienced snorkelers who want to explore the water without a guide. If you need snorkel gear for the rest of your cruise, we also offer a quality retail selection in our shop at great prices. At Nep2une Scuba Diving, we pride ourselves on small groups and personal service. All of our tours are limited to a maximum of 6 guests. If you love being in the water, you can sign up for a Try Scuba adventure to experience the beauty of our underwater world. Already Certified? You can book a 1 or 2-tank guided boat dive to explore our beautiful West End coral reefs. If you would rather go Snorkeling, we offer morning and afternoon snorkel boat tours, or you can just rent a snorkel set on your own and explore at your leisure from a nearby beach. For those interested in the ultimate escape, you can book a Private Charter to go scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, or sightseeing. Payment is due in full at time of booking. You may cancel up to 48 hours prior to your activity and be refunded 90% of the total booking. If your cruise ship does not dock in St. Croix we will refund 50% of your reservation. When the ships reschedule it is generally more than 48 hours ahead of time, unless it’s due to weather. In most but not all cases, if the weather is bad enough that the ship is not docking, it means we would be canceling anyway in which case you would receive a full refund.
The Frederiksted Pier is an unforgettable dive site, but keep in mind that Homeland Security prohibits all swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving at the pier while a cruise ship is in port.
