BASIC DIVER
(PRIVATE DIVE)
Make the most of your time underwater with private scuba diving lessons. No experience necessary! If you love to snorkel and swim, then this activity is for you. There is nothing more exciting than your first few breaths underwater! During this half day adventure, you’ll learn the basics of scuba diving, perform a few skills in shallow water to ensure your comfort, and then your Instructor will guide you through a dive around the old Frederiksted Pier. This dive site is famous for its beautiful aquatic life, including close encounters with corals, sponges, sea turtles, stingrays and many colorful Caribbean fish!

Your underwater adventure can begins right now! Click here to get started by creating your free MySSI student profile! Once your Scuba Schools International profile is set up, you just need to confirm with us and we will assign your Basic Diver Digital Learning. You will also need to complete the waivers and Diver Medical statement prior to your scheduled dive. This whole process only takes about 20 minutes to complete. Upon check in for the dive, your Scuba Instructor will review everything you learned in your Digital Learning course and answer any questions. Then it’s off to shallow water to practice a few basic scuba skills before enjoying a guided scuba dive with your instructor.
Please Note: For everyone’s safety, the successful completion of all scuba skills is required to participate in the scuba dive portion.
THE NEXT STEP:
Want more than just a taste of scuba diving? Make it a full day of underwater adventures! You can book a Full Day Basic Diver experience by adding on an afternoon shore dive or boat dive. This is a great option for people who spend a lot of time snorkeling in the ocean and are very comfortable in the water! If any Certified Divers want to dive with you, they can sign up to join you on this second dive. You can also return for another dive later in the week without having to repeat the full instructional course.
The Basic Diver program can be credited towards your Open Water Dive program within 6 months of completion. If you love your Basic Diver experience, be sure to let us know if you want to become a certified diver. We’re happy to help you get Open Water certified and join the exciting world of recreational scuba diving!
WHY CHOOSE NEP2UNE:
Avoid the crowds and enjoy your own private scuba dive! To ensure your safety and maximize your enjoyment, we offer this activity as a private experience by limiting each class to just you and your friends and family, with no more than 2 participants to each instructor, and anyone under 15 years old gets their own private Instructor.
Note: If you have more than two people or a mix of ages in your group – No Problem! Just call or email our shop to make your reservation.
PREREQUISITES:
• Must be 10 years of age or older and in good health (able to perform moderate physical activity)
• Be comfortable in the water and know how to swim (snorkeling experience is recommended, but not required)
• MySSI Student Profile and Diver Medical must be completed (some participants may require a physician’s release to scuba dive)
• No flying for a minimum of 12 hours (or 18 hours after more than one dive)

- Reusable Water Bottle
- Medical Release (only if required)
